Mermaid Tail Sterling Silver Statement Cuff Bracelet
Are you ready for this? Every collection has a star, and this is the star of Saltwater Dreams! The Mermaid Tail Cuff – made by hand with heavy gauge sterling silver and fine silver, a glowing teardrop amethyst and one show-stopping bridewell stone!
What is bridewell stone? It’s a man-made stone created by taking natural quartz and heating it to extreme temperatures while adding in other minerals for color. I’m not normally a fan of man-made stones, but this one was too incredible to pass up.
I cut this mermaid tail out of a sheet of sterling silver, using my handheld jeweler’s saw. Then after filing, sanding and polishing the sides I added my maker’s mark, and a hammered texture to the fins. Next I hand-etched every single scale, shaped and soldered on the fine silver bezel settings, and set the stones. This was a labor of love, but it really turned out so incredibly, I couldn’t be happier! I can’t wait to see what mermaid gets to wear this bracelet!
Measures at 5 3/4″ around x 2″ tall. The opening is about 1 1/4″ wide but can be bend and adjusted slightly. Should fit most wrists.
